Transform Your Life

Experience Healing, Balance, and Joy with Keva Yoga Studio

Beth Dixon
I believe teaching is a humbling experience, sharing yoga and "letting go," through breath and meeting people where they are, on and off the mat. I want to share this blessing.

Beyond the Mat

Bringing Yoga to Life and Community

In the Yoga Sutras there is a Sanskrit (ancient Indo-Aryan language of India) word, Kevala Kumbhaka which translates as “breath retention or yogic breathing practice”. I decided that I would use the shortened version of Kevala to Keva and use it for my yoga business name.

I found yoga through Serendipity- the effect by which one accidentally stumbles upon something truly wonderful, especially while looking for something entirely unrelated.

In 2015 after suffering from a running injury, I found a local yoga studio and soon found the therapeutic benefits of yoga and practiced yoga during my recovery. It didn't take long for me to be 'hooked on yoga'.

I soon enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training and completed my certification (RYT 200) in 2018 at YogaCentric here in Harford County.

I have worked in healthcare for 38 years as a Radiologic Technologist at Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore. It has been fulfilling to x-ray patients while meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

I am a quilter and recipe revisionist creating beautiful quilts and healthy food when not on my mat. I enjoy reading, hiking and kayaking. Hanging out with my husband, a Westie named Archie and spending time with my grown children and six grandkids brings me great joy!

I like to think outside the box and take yoga into my community. I have hosted Tea Time Yoga, taught yoga to Fallston High School Women's basketball team as part of their conditioning, have taught medical personnel in a hospital in their PT department after work hours, hosted poolside yoga for moms at Fallston Swim Club, taught at ETG yoga studio from 2018 to 2020 until it closed due to COVID and have subbed at several Anytime Fitness Gyms and Forest Hill Rec. Center.

If you have an event where you would like to incorporate yoga I am just a phone call or email away!
